Vigorous, deciduous, twining native vine that can climb or sprawl. Produces a profusion of sweet scented white flowers from late summer to mid fall. Can spread aggressively by self seeding and suckers. A great climber for a trellis, fence, arbor, or post, or makes a good ground cover if left to sprawl.
Full sun - part shade. Average, medium-wet soil. Zone 3-8.
Attracts pollinators, deer resistant, black walnut tolerant.
Blooms on new wood - may be prune back to 8-12â from the ground in fall after flowering or in late winter/early spring.
